Inaccurate translations
Hello!
I don't know if this is the right place to denounce a user for inaccurate and inappropriate translations.
But anyway, there is a Romanian guy who's translations are not poor, not bad, but not by any mean close to reality. For example, he just translated "pool" with "piscină" which is Romanian for "swimming pool" and not for "batch" or anything close. I have to mention the entire "translation" is indeed Microsoft's (of course) inaccurate suggestion that he often uses in his contributions. I have already asked him not to use machine translations, as Romanian language is very hard to translate without being a (human) native speaker.
As I mentioned, it's not the first time he's done that and I'm getting tired to review every single translation he produces. Therefore could anyone explain how he got translator rights? Is there any way someone requesting those rights to be verified before receiving them? I ask that because the user in question is banned for one year on the Romanian Wikipedia for the exact same reasons: nonsense contributions with poor language skills.
Almost every day I put a lot of effort into localizing MediaWiki related software and services and there is no reason the quality of Romanian translations should be affected by one user. Thank you!
