Can you tell us what you need to achieve (and cannot as a translator) so we can work out a good solution.

Mostly, i need administrator right to protect some translations. Some translators are from private projects, not a part of Foundation, so they sometimes on their own hands are changing translations, which causes displeasure in Wikipedia.

Basically, i need those right so I could protect most important translations, so that nobody could change those pages, without knowlegde of Wikipedia community.

Hoi, There are two types of localisation. What we do here is the localisation so that EVERY MediaWiki installation will benefit from the work done. When messages are specific to Wikipedia, these messages have to be changed locally.

Protecting messages is exactly what should not happen here at translatewiki.net. Thanks,

Yes, but sometimes some translators from private projects are changing EVERY MediaWiki localisation for just there project, totally ignoring whole Wikimedia Community. It is hard to restore old translation when someone do that kind of thing.

It would be just reverting the message and informing that person how such things are done.

It is easy for one or two messages, but when someone make 500 edits, its not that easy. But OK, if protecting some translations is bad for this project, thanks anyway for help.

Translations do not need protection. End of discussion.
