Reaching the target for MediaWiki most used core messages
Hi, Bengoa.
As you probably know, in Betawiki, there is a group of MediaWiki messages considered essential for a minimum localization to any language. That group is called MediaWiki core message (most used). When a language reaches at a translation level of at least 98% of these messages, it is considered to have the essential localization. As of end of March, there were 95 of the 311 languages at this level and it would be great the increase that number further. As Basque is currently at 97.56%, very little effort would be needed to reach 98%, or even better, 100%. Therefore, I would like to invite you to complete the missing translations and make Basque be part of the list of essentialy localized languages.
Thanks for your attention and best regards, Malafaya 13:57, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hola, Bengoa. Pues, lo que te pido aqui es que traduzcas esto. Son las mensajes más importantes para que el Vasco tenga una localización básica completa. Gracias, Malafaya 20:14, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Betawiki extension
Hoi, we are busy implementing the Betawiki extension on Betawiki. In this way we hope to make this available everywhere without a need for pesky templates. Thanks, GerardM 12:42, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

26 translators and Spanish still in pretty bad shape
Hi. I am writing a nosy note to all Spanish translators. This is because I see that 26 users have got translator rights for Spanish, and the Spanish localisation for many of the products we have at Betawiki is still in quite an awful shape. I am wondering if you have any ideas why this could be? We usually see here that a locale can be flourishing when only a handful of translators are working on it, or even just one or two. If you think I can help out somewhere, please let me know. I would also urge you to take responsibility, and make an effort you raise the completeness and quality of the Spanish localisation for the products that we have here. You can talk with your fellow Spanish translators on Portal_talk:Es, and general support requests can be asked on Support. I hope to see many contributions and/or ideas by you soon. Cheers!
