Language Saraiki is mainly written in Arabic script. So Skr and Skr-arab be merged. In wikimedia and other sites Skr-arab be deleted. Because Saraiki is just one language. In interface language and internationalization only one langauge be shown. Interface of Urdu words be adjusted as they are adjusted in SKR_Arab. All translations be converted to Skr i.e., Skr-arab be renamed as skr. so that one language Skr-arab be deleted from Special:SupportedLanguages. In language selector of Wikimedia Saraiki is Written two times. Kindly Skr-arab be deleted.
Merging messages between two variants can be easy for sysops by using Special:mergehistory, but I'd love to know what's your actual wanted code (aka merge which to which)? Merge skr to skr-arab? Or vice versa?
In interface language merge Skr-Arab in Skr، In interface language the all work as stood as in Skr-Arab be adjusted as Skr, and the word Skr-Arab be deleted in the the internationalization of the the language. Wiki is only in Skr. Please this conflict be removed. Saraiki. (talk) 10:45, 1 August 2017 (UTC).
I keep having to resubmit my edits, because they don't get saved and an "invalid CSRF token" warning is shown to me. I only have this problem with Translatewiki. Same browser works just fine with other MW wikis.
Can you try logging out and in again?
So far I have restart both hhvm and memcached and after I did that I haven't seen the problem again.
Could someone delete/empty this page, or capitalize the word it contains? Translations in /sr are probably primary relative to sr-ec; for Xtools, Wikimedia:Xtools-edits/sr-ec should be used (capitalized); here it is non-capitalized, and editing /sr is not possible becuase we got transferred to sr-ec (and sr-el).
I'm trying to finish the Swedish translation of Intuition, but there seems to be one message left to translate even though no messages appear when I open the translation GUI. Any help?
This sometimes happens because there is an optional message needing update, but I've checked the box under the three dots next to the "Translated" tab and nothing comes up. I'm not sure then...
According to the db it would be this one: https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special:Translate&group=int-web&language=sv&filter=%21translated&action=translate&optional=1
I'm very worried that this is too basic a question, but I'm just getting started and I'm feeling stumped, so apologies if this is a stupid question...
I am an Italian-to-English translator as my job, and what I'm really looking for is to translate Wikipedia pages in Italian into English (I have seen such pages while doing research, so I know they exist). So far, I've only found English stuff to be translated into Italian, which isn't really my thing, as I am a native English speaker.
I've only looked around translatewiki.net a little bit, so I may well be missing something, but if you could give me a shove in the right direction of finding Italian stuff to translate into English, I would very much appreciate it.
Ciao, temo che in effetti qui non abbiamo nessun progetto che sia traducibile verso l'inglese, anche se potresti per esempio tradurre dall'italiano allo spagnolo. Per tradurre verso l'inglese in Wikipedia ti conviene andare in w:Special:ContentTranslation e poi selezionare l'italiano come fonte. Puoi anche contribuire a qualche progetto di traduzione tematico, per esempio w:it:Progetto:GLAM/BEIC/Voci elenca qualche centinaio di voci in italiano che non hanno ancora una traduzione in inglese (sono semplicemente quasi tutte quelle che non hanno a fianco "tradotto in en:"...).
ULS does not worked now. Changing interface language trough user preferences also does not worked (new value is saved in preferences, but interface language is still in old language).
Worked only "&setlang=" option in the URL.
This is TWN local problem, in Wikimedia wikis all worked correctly.
PS: In the dev. console i saw two critical errors:
- freegeoip.net/ Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
- analytics.js Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
Maybe these is related with this issue.
Hi there, I'm trying to replace the content in Template:Doc-apihelp-param with Template:Localized in order to make it possible to translate it to other languages, since other templates (Template:Doc-singularthey to name one) used in documentation pages allows this. I wasn't successful in my (two) attempts, since the bullet list that follows "For other messages relating to this module[...]" won't display, so now I'm asking for assistance. The problem seem to lie in the fact that the some parameter values, like params, won't pass to the sub page I created for the English translation (Template:Doc-apihelp-param/en).
For Gothic it says "gutisk", but it should be "gutiska razda". Where can this be changed?
If you visited a site in other languages, and saw that name is shown wrong, can you provide which language were you using in that time?
I translated recent changes as 'aftumistos inmaideinos', but it shows 'aftumistos maideinos' for months now, it's the samewith other words and phrases.
What I don't understand isthat I translated all instances like this. So why does it show an old translation?
Local messages such as w:got:MediaWiki:Recentchanges need to be deleted, for the MediaWiki translations to take effect.
My adminship recently expired so I 'll unfortunately have to wait some time to do this... And we have 0 admins currently.
Where can I find a page with all our local MediaWiki messags to delete?
See Translatewiki.net_languages#Enabling_a_new_language_for_localisation_at_translatewiki.net. We can use French as secondary (fallback) language, right?
Yes but if I use French as a secondary language what will be in French on the Guianan Wikipedia ?
Hi everyone, there would be someone who would activate the translation for my language please ?!
If French is the fallback language, the interface of the Wikipedia will be in French where it's not translated.
I don't know how to write a MessageGcr file I have to look but I have not found !
Why translatewiki.net doesn't support my language so I can start translating what to translate ???
To write MessageGcr file, you only have to replace French translations after arrows (=>) by Creole translations. For example, the first variable corresponds to namespaces.
The second variable is aliases and can be empty, like this:
$namespaceAliases = [ ];.
Yes I see what you want me to translate, but I don't know this site, when I type this (link), there is nothing that tells me to create this page or this message, this site is not like Wikipedia, I don't know how to use it!
Sorry, I have not been clear. You do not have to create this file on the repository.
I only wanted to advise you to prepare this file. You can for example create it as a local file on your computer or as a wiki subpage of Gcr portal. A developer will post your file when it will be time, don’t worry. ;)
The popup thing that is supposed to warn you about the importance of edit summaries actually eats them if you submit the edit form via keyboard.
Or the "publish" bottom at the top of the edit form (which is what a keyboard submit falls back to as the first submit element), instead of the "save" at the bottom.
Thanks for reporting. What do you suggest/plan to do? Did you report this on phabricator with more details in the meanwhile?
T111670. I suggest removing
$wgDefaultUserOptions['wikieditor-publish'] = 1; from the TranslateWiki configuration; it seems to be a thoroughly useless feature.
Thanks, now I understand. I never use WikiEditor so I had no idea those buttons existed.
I don't find such a setting in the current or past configuration for twn. Hmm.
Talk page preview on message pages creates "Changes you made may not be saved" window in browsers
When creating new topic on e.g. https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Template_talk:PLURAL, after typing something and clicking "Show preview", I get Leave–Stay window (in Chrome: "Changes you made may not be saved."). Same happens when saving or leaving talk page after saving.
Also, after I saved this thread / new topic here on Support and tried to leave page, I got Leave–Stay window (after choosing to Leave, message was saved indeed – so conclusion is that something is 'false-positive' creating this). Editing this comment is fine, no Leave–Stay window.
I occasionaly stumble upon cases like this one : Wikimedia:Pageviews-num-languages/br
The translation is created, then the source message is modified but it doesn't affect the translation which should remain the same (in this case, the Breton language doesn't mark the plural after a number). But as there is no change, I can't validate the translation.
How should I do in this very particular cases?
This is because since a while ago the fuzzy markers are only in the database, not in revision text. I think you could try and save the translation with the !!FUZZY!! sign which gets inserted, then save again without it.
Can confirm. Would you mind reporting this to Wikimedia Phabricator and say that this is a regression caused by changes in core that broke CleanChanges extension?
