What are we actually supposed to do?

Someone has left a message on the gv.wiki asking for people to join the LST. I have looked at this previously. However, I couldn't work out what anyone was actually expected to do and the FAQ doesn't help at all. At the moment all I see is a big list of usernames and a link to the CLDR. The CLDR is an impenetrable mass of links and data, but I haven't seen anything indicating what I'm supposed to look at or do on that site. The header says "help... by providing information about their language either here or in places that will be indicated" but nowhere is indicated. So please, what information do you want, where do I put it, and what do you want checking? -- Shimmin Beg (talk) 10:48, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

One thing you can do is to subscribe to the mediawiki-i18n list. Every week I will send information what i18n related stuff is going to be deployed to WMF. You can help testing before and after deployment and spreading the info if there is changes affecting your language communities.

Thank you Nike, I've applied for a subscription.
