Since this extension is named "Language names" it might be useful to add an information about CLDR into the description: Cldr-desc ("Extension which provides localised language names based on CLDR data"): "Extension which provides localised language names" → "Provides localised language names from the "Common Locale Data Repository" (CLDR)" This proposal also includes a change for reasons of consistency in describing extensions. "Language names" should also link to the extension's page on MediaWiki for reasons of consistency. Cheers

The extension credits already link to the extension documentation on mediawiki.org. No need to add redundant links.

Are you sure? The version number links to SVN and the extension name links to CDLR. Presently there is no link to MediaWiki in the English version, not even in the credits

I do not quite understand what this questions Payflowpro_gateway-cvv-link ("MediaWiki:Payflowpro gateway-cvv-link/en") asks for. Cheers

For credit card transactions you always have to provide two numbers: the credit card number and the security code. Depending on the credit card brand, that is a three or four number code on either the front or the back of the card. Sometimes people do not know where to look for that number, so that is why the "Security code:" field in forms often has a link "Where is this?" near the field so users can be directed to a more details explanation. See wikipedia:Card_security_code for more than you ever wanted to know about the subject, including the two different types of placement.

Hi, I propose to rephrase the description Mwembed-desc ("Provides support for mwEmbed modules and extensions") since it is not necessary to repeat its name within the description: "MwEmbed extension provides support for mwEmbed modules and extensions" → "Provides support for mwEmbed modules and extensions" Cheers

Hi, I think it would be more useful to change "regex" to "regular expression" to allow easier internationalisation. SlippyMap is no longer maintained. Not putting time in that. The extension was once disabled and marked obsolete because OSM was also supported in the Maps extension. Because support was dropped from that, Raymond decided to enable SlippyMaps again and de-deprecate the extension. That doesn't change the fact it's not being maintained, though.

Unclear status; there are more threads about it.

Hi, the following three messages do not seem to be ok:

1. Mwe-upwiz-error-too-long
2. Mwe-upwiz-error-too-short
3. Mwe-upwiz-error-bad-chars

They relate to fields as being to short, to long, etc. Shouldn't it be entries being to short, to long, etc. ?

I don't understand the comment.

• "too" is the correct word in English to imply an excess of something, not "to".
• It talks about fields because the interface uses standard form fields. The data from these are later used to create wikitext entries.

Hi NeilK, usually an editor is not able to change the length of a field in a form, but the length of the entry put into a field. In contrast this message is asking to do the opposite: If the entry is too (thanks!) long for the field, please change the length of the field. I apologize for not following up with you. I was not aware that you had sent additional messages. Maybe I don't have the right settings to get email from this.

The error message is trying to say that "the value you have typed contains too many characters", or "the value you have typed contains too few characters".

In English, we usually say "long" or "short" and the meaning is understood. There seems to be some confusion here between length as in centimeters or inches, and length in the sense of number of characters. Is that what was bothering you?

Should I rename these messages to something like "over-maximum-chars" / "under-minimum-chars" ?

However, your answer confirmed to me that I have localised correctly. Shouldn't the messages say "This entry is too long/short" instead of "This field is too long/short" or "This entry contains symbols that are not allowed." instead of "This field contains symbols that are not allowed." My question never related to short or long. I am sorry that I may have phrased my question incorrectly.

Hi, it would be cool if the wikilink (Wikipedia:Help:Logging in#Why log in?) provided within the message Fbconnect-intro ("This wiki is enabled with Facebook Connect, the next evolution of Facebook platform. As I assume: From the second part of the sentence ( {{PLURAL:$2|) it is clear that there are more than one user, Then how more than one user can do "One intermediate revision" (First plural $1)? Something missing?

Please have a look at the translation hint. It should be clear.

$1 is a number. More precisely, the number of languages a notice is available in. It is always greater than 3.
