The wikidata suggested in the description field does not exist: See d:59909 if you have problem on what it's saying in your language.

What is this sentence located in an what is it used for?

Pantareje (talk)13:24, 11 May 2018

Abnormal text too long; re-tag it please in smaller units conform for translation

Christian (talk)09:26, 10 April 2018

Texte non acceptable pour la traduction; incontrolable car trop long -> re-tag pour le formater svp en éléments plus petits.

Christian (talk)09:19, 10 April 2018

Unacceptable text submitted for translation !

This text is too long and should be split in smaller units before being resubmitted for easier handling / rereading.

Christian (talk)07:59, 4 April 2018

Please add GENDER support for the name arguement of the user being blocked.

Stam.nikos (talk)23:27, 10 May 2016

Please clarify if this is a about a betting place or a place where books are made (books to read I mean). Thanks.

MarcoAurelio (talk)22:05, 29 January 2018

There’s a typo there: “choosen” should be “chosen”.

Fitoschido (talk)17:00, 30 September 2017

A „note” eddigi fordításai:

  • jegyzet
  • megjegyzés
  • bejelentés

Nekem a „jegyzet” tetszik, mert rövid, de a lényeg, hogy egységes legyen. --Grin (talk) 09:05, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

Kurdish Translation (ku-latn)

Hello, The translations in Kurdish (ku-latn) aren't visible on Osm. On the other hand, I see other translations that aren't "ku-latn". Where do these mistakes came from and can this be corrected, here?

Thanks!

Ghybu (talk)16:33, 2 January 2017

There is no "ku.yml" file here. And it is the translation of this file (ku.json) which appears.

Now what writes in this file is the Sorani language ("ckb"), so I have to change the name of this file.

Ghybu (talk)04:59, 15 January 2017

Actually in our OSM configuration we have a map from our "ku-latn" to "ku-Latn", no ckb involved. Currently ku-latn is 16 % translated: if you translate some more messages, your translations will be exported (you have to reach 35 % translation).

The files you link are from the iD editor, which is translated elsewhere: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Translation#iD . I see their updates are rather slow now (no new translations in 2 months); you could ask them to move the translation here.

Nemo (talk)07:36, 15 January 2017

I know, I had tried renaming the file name and I have an answer of the same kind here.

Change Windows Live to Microsoft account

The Windows Live brand has been long discontinued. You can find a list of what Windows Live services were renamed to here.

I believe the replacement word should be 'Microsoft account'. Please update the icon on the login page and the following strings to reflect this change: https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Osm:User.login.auth_providers.windowslive.title/en and https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Osm:User.login.auth_providers.windowslive.alt/en

Display of strings in fallback language

If I understood the documentation correctly when language variants are being translated (in this case de_CH) the translation in the fallback language (in this case de) should be displayed, however currently (correcting some of the Germany specific translations of OpenStreetMap-website) I only get the English original source displayed (which in this case is not particularly helpful).

SimonPoole (talk)12:43, 12 March 2016

Fallback languages are implemented in MediaWiki, but not in all projects supported by translatewiki.net. You should report this bug to OSM.

Needs documentation of the contents and format of %{time}

Purodha Blissenbach (talk)20:31, 4 July 2015

We wold need to have some GRAMMAR functionality here. Depening on he street name, there can be different grammatical genders (e.g. with equivalenty of "name+road" or "name+alley" or "name+way" etc., and we do not want to repeat "street" such as in "take the 2nd exit to the street Main Street".

Purodha Blissenbach (talk)07:24, 21 August 2015

What do parameters mean, and how are they formatted? Is %{exit} a Number? If so, how about PLURAL? Is %{name} a text sring? If so, what about its grammatical gender?

Purodha Blissenbach (talk)09:03, 14 July 2015
  • exit is a number.
  • name is a street name.
Siebrand19:10, 16 July 2015

Maybe they should be a single message with a <br /> between them.

Macofe (talk)22:32, 18 June 2015

Is this an imperative?

Purodha Blissenbach (talk)07:34, 19 June 2015

Shouldn’t this string say something like “Log in with Microsoft account” rather than referencing the dead “Windows Live” brand?

Fito (talk)15:42, 28 May 2015

hotmail.com and outlook.com redirect to login.live.com It doesn't look dead to me. Having said that, I know nothing about Microsoft services.
