Skr or Skr-arab

@Nemo bis: @MF-Warburg: @StevenJ81: We have complete the localization for Saraiki Wikipedia here[1] but another page for translation has been created by someone here [2] I point out that the language code skr is correct as per ISO code but the skr-arab is invalid as per SIL and ethnologue. the web address for Saraiki Wikipedia will be skr.wikipedia.org not skr-arab.wikipedia.org please guide me in this regard. thanks --Rehmat Aziz Chitrali 05:26, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Wikipedia articles

Why did you requested TWN articles in several Wikipedias?

\m/etalhead 19:00, 1 May 2013

I created the article because there was a similar one on another service, then I saw a user translated it to another language (Korean perhaps?), so yesterday I thought that maybe some users would have been happy to translate it as well if they knew it existed.

Nemo (talk)19:58, 1 May 2013

I don't know whether the article comes with our German relevance criteria: There's a deletion request. That sucks :-(

\m/etalhead 19:43, 3 May 2013

Ah. I added more sources to the en.wiki article, you may want to replicate some on de.wiki. Some are in German, even, if I remember correctly.

Rename request

Hi, can you please rename my account to "Luckas"? I don't want my username related to wikis I used to edit. Thanks in advance.

Luckas Blade (talk)17:09, 30 April 2013

Wouldn't it be better to rename it back to Luckas13 as it used to be?

Nemo (talk)17:17, 30 April 2013

I don't think so, that username is not what I want.

Luckas Blade (talk)17:42, 30 April 2013

Done now.

Can you just change the namespaces in Buryat Wikipedia? I don't understand what do you need of me. I "understand" Buryat language same as you, this is not deal of my life. But since I am the project Administrator, I demand to do something and change the namespaces.

Editing sitenotice

This was an "oops". For some reason, editing sitenotice requires you to always remove "!!FUZZY!!" at the beginning of the line.

Siebrand14:43, 18 March 2013

Sorry! I know, and I always remember... but "I only fixed a typo", so I didn't check. Obviously wrong.

Nemo (talk)14:46, 18 March 2013

Good process is probably to always check the result after saving the site notice, and not doing something else immediately :).

Siebrand18:53, 18 March 2013

I did check the sitenotice at top and it looked correct. Maybe I was blind, or maybe Translate is too smart for us?

Contributi di Ciphers

Ciao.

A rileggerci. Paginazero (talk) 14:24, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Paginazero (talk)14:24, 31 August 2012

Heiya Nemo, thank you for working on this template and thus improving it. However it still needs a bit of work, probably only tiny changes. As you can see on Portal:De the chart with the translation acceptances is shown to the right of instead of above the second language chart. Perhaps it may be moved.

Besides, is there a way to move the translation acceptances out of the edit chart. Now it looks like, as the extra chart for translation acceptances suggests, that the edit chart does not include them, which is not the case. Cheers

[[kgh]] (talk)21:10, 27 August 2012

Thank you for the feedback. The chart was not on the right for me, maybe because I have a smaller screen? I tried to fix it, is it better now?

As for the graphs, you're right that the situation might be confusing, I'll investigate a bit tomorrow.

Nemo (talk)21:52, 27 August 2012

Indeed I am on widescreen and yes, your change fixed the issue. Now it is all aligned to the left. :) I am keeping fingers crossed for the graph issue. Cheers

[[kgh]] (talk)22:04, 27 August 2012

Filed as bugzilla:39761.

Nemo (talk)08:35, 29 August 2012

Thank you for looking at it and noticing me.

Template:Support

Hi Nemo_bis, you changed Template:Support to always show a gerrit link but 1. only MW & Co. uses Gerrit and 2. is the Wiki name not always the Gerrit name (e.g. wiki name: Jan Luca, Gerrit: jan). Do you work on a fix?

Jan Luca (talk)10:18, 5 August 2012

There isn't any solution for differing names and no I'm not working on a fix. I know that not all projects use gerrit, but is there any easy way to show the gerrit link for all projects which use it? We have more and more of them and I don't fancy editing the template constantly. I suggest you to change the link so that it points somewhere else where you can find something relevant.

Traduzioni

Wikipedia Mobile

Buonasera, mi amico!

I see you have participated in the translation of the Wikipedia Mobile app. I was wondering if you could translate the message {{#translationdialog:Wikimedia:Mobileapp-app-description/it|Wikimedia:Mobileapp-app-description}} as well? It is the message that will be shown in the Android Market, so it's the first thing users will see before downloading the app.

The app will be publicized tomorrow, so it would be great to have it as soon as possible. :-)

UploadWizard

Ciao.
