GENDER support for 'user' here.

I would like to have that, too.

But:

  1. Given how this message class is used and processed, it is hard to implement, thus it is unlikely that someone will do it so any time soon; (-: at least I decline :-)
  2. Given when and how this message is used, it is only seen by a pretty techy audience in a technical environment, if I am not mistaken. So a generic genderless reference to "current user" will usually do. I know that there are languages that have to use something like " a new king or a new queen will be elected " to get along with an unspecified gender, but hey, GENDER has three choices, one is "unknown". We can use that in almost all languages that I know of even if "the current user" is specific.

So closing this issue. Feel free to reopen it, it you think it should be pursued.
