I can not understand that https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modul:Hello?uselang=qqx points me to MediaWiki:Nstab-module but this message does not exist in the local wiki nor here in Translatewiki, although it is localised. Am I missing something?

I think the logic is like this:

Use ns-NAMESPACENAME if it exists
Otherwise use the namespace name

Does that explain where the current "Modul" comes from?

Thanks. Obviously there must be a default and I thought it should be in the English message. I'll have to wait to bugzilla:46082. It is frustating that a translation take so long.

I wasn't aware the bugzilla issue or the patch in Gerrit. I reviewed the patch, it was okay. Merging is now happening. I also closed the bug. You can expect the update on Wikimedia wikis in 1.22wmf2.
