Two minor issues

Re your first point: If you loaded the page before updating the translation, the old/fuzzied message is probably still cached by the server. To purge the cache and force the most recent message to be used, append "?action=purge" to the URL (or "&action=purge" if the URL already contains parameters following a "?".)

Thanks, it fixed the first issue (after the third purge).

en-ca and en-gb are both listed on the Special:SupportedLanguages list. Other than that, each portal is represented by one item only on the list and all the translators for all the variant scripts and dialects on that portal are listed together. The detail is on the portal.
