Exif is a format for storing metadata in image files. See this Wikipedia article and the example at the bottom of this page on Commons. The tags are explained briefly and in further detail.

The 'land' in a camera refers possibly to the inner surface of the barrel of the lens. An alternative phrasing for this message could perhaps be 'maximum width of the land aperture'.
