I'm not a native speaker of English but doesn't "This e-mail was sent by $1 to $2 by the "E-mail user" function" sound a bit strange (by ... by)? Intuitively, I'd rather say "This e-mail was sent by $1 to $2 through/using the "E-mail user" function", but I'm not sure if I'm not just overcomplicating this matter :).
