dynamify namespace

Could you please explain why the namespace shouldn't be dynamified in this case? --Ans 14:45, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

If a link gets a display name (form [[link|description]]), this will be done in the software (i.e. all namespace names are dynamically localised). Using {{ns:image}} would also be (marginally) slower than just Image (from a code processing perspective). So dynamifying the namespace will give you no gain in this scenario, hence the request to not do it. Cheers! Siebrand 11:51, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
