Yes, definitely. Speakers of Lower Sorbian should generally understand Upper Sorbian way better than English.
I am not a native. I have never lived in Lusatia. However, I think this is a very good idea. A native speaker of one language probably should have some contact with the other language, as there is one common organisation representing interests of Sorbs as a minority in Germany. I cannot remember any case of a translation being offered when in a radio/TV programme a speaker of the 'other' language was interviewed.
I have drafted a list of Mediawiki plural rules for all languages. I would be grateful if a translator could check that the rules for Lower Sorbian are correctly recorded in the list. If I have made a mistake please go ahead and correct it.
It could also be useful to any future new translators for Lower Sorbian to be able to read notes on using plural, especially Mediawiki plural, on your portal or a sub-page of the portal. I note that the various plural systems used by projects have different rules for Lower Sorbian.
