Template:כ

From translatewiki.net

The documentation of this template is included from its /doc subpage. [Edit]
Usage:
This template inserts a right-to-left marker (it is equivalent to the HTML code ‏), which allows forcing the direction of the next character after it (notably if it has a weak direction, such as an unpaired punctuation sign like a full dot, or if it is separator intended to be used in a left-to-right list, or if it is a symbol that should not be mirrored).
This Unicode-encoded mark exists for compatiblity with documents supporting only plain text.
It is equivalent to an HTML bidirectional override (with a specified "ltr" direction) that would embed the next character after it, such as <bdo dir="ltr">.</bdo> instead of ‏.).
In usual texts, such bidirectional override should not be used before any character that has a strong directionality (such as letters, digits or letterlike symbols).
Most documents should avoid using such bidirectional "overrides", unless the author knows exactly which text follows it and the context in which it is rendered: as much as possible, bidirectional "isolates" is preferable and much more flexible than "overrides" (and the legacy bidirectional "embedding" controls, that was initially encoded in Unicode and specified in HTML and CSS for earlier versions of the Unicode BiDi algorithm, should be deprecated and no longer be used).
This template has an Hebrew name to make it easier to use in right-to-left text.
