Main question

How I can get my money? I e-mail'd Siebrand, but not not received a response.

Ole Yves (talk)17:14, 30 January 2013

I didn't get anything either, but I just now looked at my prefs, and found the box for receiving mail from other users unchecked... it is now checked, so I'm still waiting to hear something... Regrds, Codex Sinaiticus (talk) 14:59, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Codex Sinaiticus (talk)14:59, 31 January 2013

Your e-mail address was authenticated on 14 January 2012 at 15:22. Enable e-mail from other users [checked]

Ole Yves (talk)21:06, 31 January 2013

Same thing here, although my email was authenticated in December. I'm not sure on whether I had the enable email checkbox checked. Probably had anyway. By the way, Siebrand tells not to communicate with him by email usually... not sure if that has something to do with not getting a response.

(I see it's been a while since you posted here; wonder if you're still waiting too?)

VezonThunder (talk)11:04, 19 February 2013

Yes I am still waiting, but it's strangely quiet compared to all the hype when they wanted some work done

Codex Sinaiticus (talk)19:01, 15 March 2013

I don't think there's a need to get snarky. I think it's pretty clear that (a) we honour our commitments, even if they are delayed, and (b) we all have honest and sincere intentions.

translatewiki.net December 2012 Translation Rally results

These are the results of the translatewiki.net December 2012 Transation Rally. These results are not yet final. Some claims are under investigation.

54 users have made 500 or more contributions during the rally*. Another great end of year translation rally, with 13% more new translations than last year. The scope was still relatively narrow (Wikimedia mobile applications, Offline Wikimedia project applications, Pywikipediabot, Toolserver tools, MediaWiki core and MediaWiki extensions) for what translatewiki.net has to offer, so we'll be sure to try and continue these types of events in 2013, and we hope for your continued support!

  • Total new in-scope translations during rally: 50,680
  • Total active in-scope translators during rally: 172
  • Languages contributed to: 112

And these are the contribution counts for all qualifying users that each get a EUR 17.60 cut (including transfers costs). පසිඳු කාවින්ද has made the most qualified contributions during the rally and qualifies for an additional EUR 50,00 cut. Congratulations and many, many thanks to all translatewiki.net translators for making such an enormous difference for non-English users of the free and open source software involved! If we do not have your payment details yet, we will request those from you by e-mail within a week or two. Please "don't be hatin'" if I'm going to be a little late...

  • One user was disqualified for gaming. This user's contributions had to be deleted, and have not been counted in the rally results.
Siebrand08:33, 3 January 2013

Good, but 100,000 is still a magic number :)

Direct money transfer

What is direct money transfer? Is SWIFT direct money transfer or not?

Тест (talk)21:10, 21 December 2012

IBAN and direct SWIFT (without intermediary accounts) will work. For some countries, I have to pay up to EUR 18, though, so it's not always woeth making the actual transfer.

Siebrand21:54, 21 December 2012

Better to leave it in 1000 for all of us who can not be divided by one thousand euro.

Abshirdheere (talk)23:26, 2 January 2013

Can you rephrase that? I don't understand.

Siebrand08:46, 3 January 2013

I'm sorry, I said that this money can not be divided for fifty person because they are too few.

I'm sorry, I had written the letters quickly.

Even before I understood wrong for every one thousand euro.

How to know how many translations remains to make for bounty?

^^^

KPu3uC B Poccuu10:03, 29 December 2012

You appear to not have read the rules. Project:Rally-2012-12 states you need to make 500 new translations for specified products. On Special:Rally500 you can check if you have done so.

Siebrand11:14, 29 December 2012

Really? What makes you think I have never read the rules?

KPu3uC B Poccuu16:17, 29 December 2012

Because the answer to your question is in the rules section.

Siebrand18:36, 29 December 2012

"new translations for eligible products on translatewiki.net" doesn't really look like a link to page where you can see your stats, so it's not indicator of my knowledge of the rules :v
