Not with the current i18n system in iHRIS, but I'm trying to gather as many cases as possible that prove that the current i18n system for iHRIS Sucks (tm).

However you can do what is needed with the current system in iHRIS. However, the source (html) text needs to be properly marked, which has not been done due to our limited time. All identified issues will be addressed as soon as we can.
In this case, of .html files, the attribute lang='en_US' can be added to any node in which case it will be treated as a block. The above example, comes from feedback_form.html. Changing from:

Yep, that can work. Not that pretty, and error prone for translators because of the techno-nonsense they have to deal with, but at least *this can* lead to proper translations, where the previous solution could not.
