New project: Routing website "Look and Listen Map"

I would like to join translatewiki with our project (DE:)

"Accessible website for map and routing services, mainly targeting at blind pedestrians".

The project source texts will be German or English.

We use open data from OpenStreetMap and would like to extend our service step by step to the whole world, because we have map data for the whole world.

Prepare to translate sentences like "Turn right after crossing two intersections." or "The pub to your left is open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturdays." or "Go ahead using the button operated traffic lights for pedestrians without vibration or sound signal.".

The source texts should be in English. Have you read Translating:New project already? Are you prepared to handle all the complexities on grammars in different languages?

Yes, I have read the "New Project" page.

We will use Java. As the project realization has not started yet, we will be able to handle grammar issues. Are there any hints how to implement the grammar thing? Libraries? Instructions?

When I have an English source text and English does not differ between addressing s.o. formally and informally, is there a chance to add a remark for that to get the correct or all translations?

We will add the texts in English then and immediately do the translation to German by ourselves.

As a general rule, avoid building sentences from pieces as much as possible. We have a basic support for (in)formal addressing, it could be better though.
