Question in [[Special:SearchTranslations]]

The messages below say that $1 is the language code of the source text, but in Special:SearchTranslations I see that $1 is replaced by "English", neither "en" not the localized name for "English".

That's the same. Do you mean the string "Traduzioni da English"? It uses the autonym, yes. Using the translated name IMHO would make things worse as there is no way to make the message a grammatical sentence.

Yes, that string. Do we need the variable in the messages? We will always translate from English, at least here.
