Time units in Toolserver:General- messages

Messages General-years ("{{PLURAL: $1|year|years}}"), General-weeks ("{{PLURAL: $1|week|weeks}}"), General-days ("{{PLURAL: $1|day|days}}"), General-hours ("{{PLURAL: $1|hour|hours}}") do not really have a useful universal translation (in Czech, at least). The translation depends very much on the use, because of 1. plural handling, 2. declension. A message fragment “X hours” might end up being “1 hodina“, „2 hodiny“, „5 hodin“ (three-case plural), „1 hodinou“, „1 hodin“, etc. (declension).

I agree, unless these strings are being used as prompts, which should be documented, then.

Thank you for your message. This is a known issue and is high on the list. Currently {{PURAL: does not exist yet, this is high on the priority list. For now I would recommend trying to do it the best way you know (the only known fact is that the number will be more than 1). If there is no best way without knowing the number, I recommend skipping the message until Plural-support is ready.

Thanks again for your contributions!
