Unable to change preferences

I'm trying to change a couple of things in my translatewiki preferences (add assitant languages etc), and when I click save it says "Your preferences have been saved.", but they're still the same! They refuse to change. What could the problem be?

Even if you people out there don't know the solution - can you please see if you have the same problem? Or am I alone with this problem?

Same for me. I can't change my skin.

Confirmed. I can change what I want in the preferences, but the settings aren't remembered and revert to their previous values. So far I tested skin, UI language and date format.

Now I was able to change the languages at least after a while. I had to save the preferences several times. Everyting still not getting saved - still acting strangely.

We recently upgraded our memcached from version 1.2.2 to version 1.4.3. Apparently that didn't agree too well, and user objects and whatever were not purged when they should. So your user preferences *were* actually saved, just not used (OUCH!). We are now back to using memcached 1.2.2, which we know gives the occasional error, but at least works as it should.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
