Variants for Serbian
There's an ongoing discussion on the Serbian Wikipedia about enabling additional variants for that language. Given that its ortography allows the use of Ijekavian and Ekavian reflexes, an "-ijek" variant should be added for both Cyrillic and Latin (we'd then have sr-ec, sr-el, sr-ec-ijek and sr-el-ijek).
Why ijek instead of ijekavsk? Anyway, both sr-ec and sr-el are making Wikidata contributors confusing and are to be renamed to sr-cyrl-ekavsk and sr-latn-ekavsk as per phab:T117845.
FWIW, in https://www.iana.org/assignments/language-subtag-registry/language-subtag-registry:
%% Type: variant Subtag: ekavsk Description: Serbian with Ekavian pronunciation Prefix: sr Prefix: sr-Latn Prefix: sr-Cyrl Added: 2013-12-02 %% ... %% Type: variant Subtag: ijekavsk Description: Serbian with Ijekavian pronunciation Prefix: sr Prefix: sr-Latn Prefix: sr-Cyrl Added: 2013-12-02 %%
Oh... I didn't know that there was already a subtag for Ijekavian. "Ijekavsk" works just as well. So, can the ijekavsk subtag be enabled here on TW so people can start contributing or do we have to wait for the patch for phab:T117845 to go out (it's been sitting at 'Needs Code-Review Label' for about seven weeks)?
