ID as a verb? Maybe just a typo (identify)?

iNaturalist:Views.photos.inviter.automatically id the new obs as/en is ditto.

"ID sth." means identify sth. "ID Please" means "Could anyone help identify this?". That's a common abbreviation that naturalists use in online communities.
