Product mix ?
Appearance
I have a question about what a "product mix" represents. Is it either :
- a set of related products within which a client will generally select only one of them (i.e. variants of the same basic product, such as change of a single parameter like duration of a loan, or frequency of installments)
- or an unbreakable/unseparatable set of products which are proposed together in a single pack with additional promotionnal advantages (like a loan + some insurance or warranty + some services like free periods of grace or free rental of business startup materials or training) ?
This changes the way it should be translated. For example in French, it would become:
- « gamme de produits »
- « assemblage de produits » or « pack de produits » (this is an anglicisme that Canadians would not appreciate).
I think it is a combination of the options you proposed. I'll point you right to the source instead of trying to paraphrase: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.finance.mifos.user/732
I've documented my understanding of it in the Glossary: http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Translating:Mifos/Glossary#P
