Disqualified translations in the translation rally

Disqualified translations in the translation rally

Hi. Based on feedback from a native Afrikaans speaker and some own research, I have concluded that your skill level in Afrikaans was too low to count the translations as qualifying in the translation rally. You have, in my opinion, abuse a machine translation engine to get to your high number of contributions, and that's not what we are about; even if we are having a contest. Quality should be valued more than quantity, and you should know your own limits.

Because of this you are no longer the winner of the translation rally. Because of your contributions to your native language, you still do qualify for a cut of the bounty.

My advise to you is to get in touch with Afrikaans translators and to find a way to make up for done damage.

I did my best for sinhala language translations, but i'm not a native speaker of Afrikaans and i didn't cheated in this rally.

Look at those results. More than 10 users limits there translations for 500 only, because they want to get there Bounty, Not to continue there translation for long time. Now look at me, I didn't stop my translation for Sinhala when i complete my 500 messages. I don't work for only money. If my Afrikaan translations are bad, I'm sorry.

I recognise and appreciate your effort. I have explained why I have disqualified part of your contributions -- and not all.

Ok! Thanks, and happy new year.
