Wikimania Scholarships app is a web-based application used to accept and process scholarship requests for Wikimania attendance. This application has historically been developed, maintained and hosted exclusively by volunteers from the community (Manuel Schneider, on a WMCH server). The application has been hosted on the Wikimedia Foundation servers starting with the Wikimania 2014 scholarship request period.

Translating notes

MediaWiki and Wikipedia jargon may appear; see Translating:MediaWiki#Translation notes for more general references.

The application uses a similar localization framework to MediaWiki's JavaScript-based code. Message parameter format is the same as MediaWiki: $1, $2 etc.

However, functions such as {{PLURAL:}} are not currently available as they are in other parts of MediaWiki.

Exports

Languages with translation completion less than 25% are not committed to version control. If the project consists of multiple message groups, the limit is applied to each group separately.

Translation updates are exported to version control every Monday and Thursday.
