Lqt youhavenewmessages ("You have new messages.") does not have plural support, simply because there is no number in the message. $1 is a URL (leading to Special:Newmessages), not a count; the exact number of new messages is unknown. --Mormegil 17:10, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
