Hello, Siebrand! I have for you one prosbba could you replace the татарский (Cyrillic) to Татарча (Кирилл) and татарский (Latin) to Tatarça (Latin).
These words in Russian and yahochu that they were the same in the Tatar.
I just dug up a source code file to better understand the context of a message and add its /qqq description. Since you display here the path to the file and even the specific line for the message, what do you think about making that snippet link to the source? Since the projects here at twn are open source, I assume most would have their source files available for viewing on the browser, and the urls (including anchors!) are easily constructed from the data you have. What do you think? :)
Possible, but has very low priority, unless you are offering to implement it, have someone readily available to implement it, or can sponsor the implementation. Also see Issues_and_features and Roadmap.
Hi, Siebrand. Could you point me to the bug requesting the activation of the translate page extension on meta? I'd like to put it in my cc list. Also, take a look at your user page here on twn, it's giving me an HTTP error 500. Cheers,
A bug in the Maps extension, which caused the empty page, is now worked around and we are waiting for a fix.
As of now, there is no request in bugzilla: that I know of requesting activation of Translate page translation. I'd love for Aphaia to open this bug and advocate its activation, though.
Why does it have to be her? Can't anyone open the bug? And why hasn't she done so? Is she aware you expect her to do it? Should we message her or something? (sorry for the barrage of questions :P)
She's (one of) the main coordinator(s) on meta:, so I think a request from her has the biggest chance on an impact. Extensions not written by Wikimedia Foundation employed personnel are not easily activated within their cluster, so it needs some politics :).
Not sure if she is aware I would like her to do so, but at least I have tried to interest her into the functionality. Feel free to message her, and remind her of the panel we did together in Poland, and/or refer her to this thread...
Thanks. But I am unable to translate the messages. Following message displays : You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: This page provides interface text for the software, and is protected to prevent abuse.
The correct automnym is "अंगिका" and not "अङ्गिका".

Hi. Our project(ckb.wikipedia) is not moved to beta, and logo is not changed to what we would like. Is that because of remaining several untranslated messages? if not, what is the problem? thanks
Sorry, but that's not a question I can answer in a translatewiki.net context. You should ask your question to the Wikimedia Language Committee at meta:.
ok. thank you.
The percentage of messages of the usability initiative does warrant the use of the new software. They however only upgrade wikis every now and again. Thanks,
Helemaal prima. Sla de lappen tekst waar onzin in staat even over.
Een zin als The job associated with this position (http://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special%3ATranslate&task=reviewall&group=out-ihris-manage-crsr&language=nl) blijft dan echter problematisch...
Hi! Sorry for caused a very high load. May be, need to use this Template with {{subst:Welcome/en|}} or {{subst:Welcome-body|}}?
May be, need to replace Hi {{{realName|{{{name}}}}}}. to
Hi{{#if:{{{realName|{{{name|}}} }}}| {{{realName|{{{name|}}} }}} }}.
?
Hello! Thank you for translators status. I found some mistake. Հայերէն it is not right, right is Հայերեն. Հայերէն (first) is Western Armenian (it is one of the two standardized forms of modern Armenian) and Հայերեն (second) is Eastern Armenian. Today we have only Eastern Armenian Wikipedia, so the second variant is absolutely right.
And could you tell me how I can find pages, which more important for translation.
Hey, if I make some changes to OSM webpage translation when they go public ? thx --Olli 08:50, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Hello. I speak Livonian a bit, so I've tried to create a portal for this language. But there are some errors there.
Secondly, I don't know how to substitute the Babel-template English texts (i.e. liv-X templates appearing in Portal:Liv) by their Livonian variants. What should I do for that?
Thank you.
I could easily add the locale, but given that Ethnologue indicates the language only has 15 speakers left, I think there isn't a case for creating a user interface in this language. If you are really interested in keeping this language alive, I think creating a significant corpus for the language another way would better serve the language. Within the wiki universe, Wikisource comes to mind...
The deed.en was actually on purpose, because deed.pt is actually in deed.pt-br. But never mind...
Which brings me to another issue: do you know if there are any plans for the creative commons site to be translated here? If not, how would one go about creating a pt-br in creative commons so we can actually have a pt-PT there?
I have the answer to neither question, unfortunately. There has not been any contact with people from Creative Commons. Feel free to initiate it in our name and keep us updated.
Siebrand, don't know if you already knew this, but the translation of creativecommons.org was just moved from ccpootle to Transifex. I found out from Nathan Kinkade (the contact for translations) a few months ago, before the move, but they were already in the process of moving. Nat is the contact for licence translations. However, the old ccpootle required a strict approval process, due to the legal nature of the licences and such. Don't know how it will be with Transifex, but I guess the approval process is supported there, also. I am not familiarised with it yet, but it looks like the whole thing is done with .po files. Anyway, just keeping you in the loop...
Hi, there seems to be an error in the PLURAL of one lb-message (incorrectly written as "PLUAL"), f.e.: [1]. Do you know which message it is so it can be fixed?
I grepped the sources. It was activeusers-count ("$1 modificationes in le ultime $3 dies"). Fixed. Should be updated soonish.
Request denied. Reason is that you haven't even been a translator yet, and that we generally do not promote anyone with less than a few hundred translations to any role above translator. Please see Special:FirstSteps on how to proceed.
Why did you mark me as somebody who helps translating NOCC? I do not remember translating it :) , or my contribution was very small.
According to your contributions, you have contributed, hence the badge.
When you click on Mark All Read in your Special:NewMessages, the number of messages shown at the top of the page (like "NEW MESSAGES (22)" doesn't get updated by the AJAX call. You have to reload the page or go to a different page to fix it.
If you show me which extension handles Special:NewMessages, I might be able to fix it myself.
That would be mw:Extension:LiquidThreads. Good luck :)
Dear Siebrand, someone in another forum asking for help in localization for 'ubuntu' into Sundanese. My question, is it possible to add this project to translatewiki.net? or is it only used for softwares using MediaWiki?
See New project. However, I know Ubuntu uses wikipedia:Transifex as much as possible, so that will probably not happen.
