[edit] Linguistic issues

Sorry but the constructed sentence with $1 (here) is not grammatically and semantically correct in Macedonian. $1 should be changed by најавите instead of најавување. In English the word login is used in both case. As I can see, according of my knowledge of Croatian and Serbian, the same problem will appear, but nobody mention that until now. It’s happen when you limit your wiki only for registered users, which is not case in official language editions of Wikipedias like mk.wiki, sr.wiki, and so on. --brest 17:33, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

$1 is replaced by a link with a returnto, so you have to leave the $1 in. If loginreqlink is currently incorrect, you should change that to make it work. We will look into possibly changing behaviour of the current message at a later time. Cheers! Siebrand 18:06, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
loginreqlink is ok. I will try to construct other translation for this message Loginreqpagetext. Tx.--brest 18:25, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Revdelete

Currently Revdelete-log-message is built up as follows: [revdelete-hid/revdelete-unhid/...] for [num of revs] {{PLURAL:$2|revision|revisions}}

And for example revdelete-hid... is the following: hid [content/summary/...]

The problem is, that in the Hungarian translation, the word order would be the following: hid [num of revs] {{PLURAL:$2|revision|revisions}} [content/summary/...]

Currently it's impossible to do. //Danikomolyan? 10:41, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Same problem with Logdelete-log-message. //Danikomolyan? 10:43, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Please use support. This is a known issue, btw. that is registered in bugzilla:. Siebrand 11:41, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Aramaic Language

Hello, I know you guys are committing changes frequently but I do not see those changes on Aramaic Wikipedia! what do you think the cause is? --Basharh 20:32, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

See FAQ, item 1. Siebrand 21:01, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi! How is everything?

I saw there were some updates of MediaWiki softwre recently =)

But, after this, I've noticed the following bug: bugzilla:19236. As you have made some changes to SpecialWhatlinkshere.php, maybe you could help in some way... Could you look at bugzilla:19236? (I'm a new user of that system... so maybe I did something wrong...)

Thank you! Have a nice week! Helder 14:29, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Freecol in occitan

Hi! I ended the translation of freecol in occitan language. Can you export it from translatewiki.net in Freecol 0.7.x branch, please? Best regards! Cedric31 11:09, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

There is no support for 0.7, only for 0.8 as far as I know. I do not coordinate FreeCol localisation. Please see Translating:FreeCol for details. Siebrand 12:06, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Tosk

Hi Siebrand, Thanks for the tip on most often used messages. Regarding tosk: the reason why it's not being populated is that sqi the "standard" albanian is very much based on tosk so they are pretty much the same. Anyway I'm think of doing a tosk version afterwards.

[edit] About Mihai

Hello.

I'm writing you about User:Mihai. First of all, when he translates, he doesn't use the courtesy pronoun (which in English doesn't exist, but exists in French, Italian, Spanish, etc.). At Romanian Projects every message that is modified from the default one is using the courtesy pronoun. When his translations will appear on the Romanian Projects, there will be a real mess. I've wrote him about this, but he doesn't want to understand because he's not contributing at Ro.Wiki and he won't have to stay and corect these messages.

Secondly, I've also encountered some mistranslations such as invalid from English to invalid in Romanian (invalid in Romanian means cripple, disabled). I've also wrote him about this ([1]) but he deleted my message and as a summary, he wrote: "Ya kiddo, go and play with toy cars!": [2].

Please explain him the part with the courtesy pronoun, because he's "Too important!" to listen to what I'm telling him.

Thank you. Firilacroco 15:18, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

I suggest that you work out some proper way to both work on Romanian together. If you continue with the exclamation marks and/or possible insults, please be advised that you will *both* be forced to leave this project. If any mediation needs to take place, please provide a *commonly created* insight in the dispute, and find someone you would both accept to help you resolve the issue(s). [edit] Error in en

Please, heck this diff, the original is wrong and I don't know if modified system messages in English are updated in the software. --Locos epraix 18:09, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Please use Support to discuss message changes. Thanks. Siebrand 18:15, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, if I didn't posted it in the right place, I'm still a newbie here. Anyway, you already did it. Thanks. Locos epraix 18:36, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
