Hi Codex Sinaiticus. Welcome to Betawiki. Before you can use Special:Translate, please request translator rights at Betawiki:Translators. Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on.
Once you have started translating, please remember to often request a commit of your translation work at Translating:Tasks. This makes the number of changes easier to handle for the devs.
I wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Cheers! Siebrand 17:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

These messages are not using all the variables compared to English original. Compare your translation to English.
Hi Codex Sinaiticus. Please understand that the whole point of localisation is to deliver an interface solely and purely for one (1) language entity. MediaWiki was designed to work in many languages. English, German, Lower Sorbian and Amharic are just four of them. You localise in exactly one (1) language. You do not localise messages bi-lingual. Please stop reverting change to 'am' messages that in the previous edit contained text in both 'am' and 'en' and now only contain 'am' content. Please read up on the use of localisation if you do not understand the previous. Cheers! Siebrand 21:11, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
My apologies. I made an error in my calculation. The said bounty percentage of 76% for milestone 2 has been corrected to 74%. THe baseline of the calculation was incorrect. See this edit. Once again, apologies for the confusion. Cheers! Siebrand 12:32, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi. This message is to alert you if an expiring bounty claim for am, milestone 1 on 1 February, end of day, CET. The target is 99%, and currenly the reached percentage is 78.95%. Please be aware that not reaching the milestone at the set date will reset all claims! Siebrand 17:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi Codex Sinaiticus. As you appear to display some hostility[1] towards bots that are doing hard (and very useful) work, I thought I might give you some additional information. Fuzzybot comes in if source messages change, or if messages need to be updated for other reasons (because of not using PLURAL, or because of incompliant XHTML and some other cases). Reverting a "FUZZY" is not a good idea. You should thoroughly check the current translation to the source message. There is a 99% chance that it *actually does need updating*. Cheers! Hello Codex Sinaiticus. Please do not leave this project, just because you do not understand what we want to say. Look, the English text of the message MediaWiki:Categoriespagetext was changed yesterday. We would like to have all translations to be updated with the new text. Because you translated that message somewhere in September, it is impossible that the translation is up to date. Please just take a look at the message definition above the edit field and compare it with your translation. Thank you very much, SPQRobin 16:02, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi Codex Sinaiticus. Formally your bounty claim for 90% of the MediaWiki core messages expired about an hour ago. As you got, how should I put it, distracted a bit somewhere, I think it would be fair to offer you an extension of the term of two days, to the end of 9 March (which is 47 hours from now). Please let me know if this would be of help to you. Cheers! Siebrand 00:03, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I have written on my blog about ICANN supporting Amharic in their IDN effort. I urged them to upgrade their MediaWiki installation so that they can use all the great work that you have done / are doing. :) Thanks, GerardM 08:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
