This user came to my attention when s/he made a lot of lousy changes to Cantonese (langcode yue) translation.

Now s/he's creating translations in mnc (Manchu according to https://iso639-3.sil.org/code/mnc ), but I spot checked a few and they are all English.

Hi, I have mass deleted his translations from today for "mnc" now and informed him/her in the user talk page. But I cannot verify the translations into yue and would be happy if another person could check the translations before I block him.

Another user's complaint: Thread:User talk:Moon0319/有關你嘅粵文翻譯. You may copypaste it into https://www.bing.com/Translator to get the gist. It's Cantonese.

Manual translation:

Subject: Regarding your Cantonese translations

Content: Hello, I have undone many of your translations. Why don't you talk about why you changed the translations to weird ones? Translations have to be understandable by users.

Quite a number of their translations were made without regard to context, some others contain rarely used words that took me a while to understand. I suspect that they may be a native Chinese user (i.e. non-Cantonese user), translating messages into Chinese and making use of Cantonese words lists to convert the words.

I have reviewed some of their translations. There are acceptable translations, but those are probably made with the help of identical messages.

Consider using zh-HK as a fallback language?

Like what @Nemo bis: is doing now, I would like to phasedown number of languages which only translate from English, someone pointed that he oppose using zh-Hant for Cantonese because most of zh-Hant contributors are from Taiwan instead of Hong Kong, that's very true. But I believe if using zh-HK instead of zh-Hant, then we could simply clean up untranslated messages in order to continue working on East Asian languages' compatibility investigations. Any suggestions here are welcome.

@Nemo bis: Still this needs your comment.
