If gerrit:96981 is approved, the untranslated messages in Corsican will "fallback" to Italian and appear in Italian instead on the wikis, while now they appear in English. Such a fallback is used also for all Italian/italic languages.

The fallback was abandoned for now, please some of you file a bug if you desire it.

I agree with Nemo: in this case Italian is the right fallback language for untranslated messages.

I am sorry but I misunderstood that the callback would extend to co.wikipedia. My opinion is that it is better to leave it in english, since there could be, in the reader's mind a confusion between italian and northern Corsican language.
