Is this actually a number? If so wouldn't "Number of topics to fetch" work better? Alternatively if amount is some type of size measure (characters, bytes etc). Then this should be clarified in the documentation.

It is a number & I've submitted a patch (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/191034/) to update the text accordingly. Thanks for the suggestion!
