If gender is involved, it's a username by definition.

I am a bit suspicious about this message.

• Posting anonymously is imho contratictive to the availability of a user name.
  • Breaking someones anonymity without his or her consent would have to be a nogo.
• "Posted from user" is either bad English grammar, or something possibly obvious from the message context is missing from the message documentation.
• The presumed user name is not linked to a user page, which is somewhat unusual.

I've translated "posted from" as "posted by" for the time being.
