It might make sense to change "vary" to "influence", like I just did on the MW.org page [1]. "vary" in this context is quite hard to understand and harder to translate.

This is documentation for a configuration setting. It's probably documented on mw:. It should be updated there, and then be synchronised into Configure.

Fixed on mw:, I submitted gerrit change I14f5815a to fix this and other issues in the extension.
