About [[MediaWiki:Mobile-frontend-main-menu-settings-heading/en]]

"Mobile site settings" is a long string for a mobile UI already in English, even longer in other languages. For instance, in Catalan is "Configuració del lloc mòbil" and jumps to a second line, ruining the UI.

What about simply saying "Mobile settings" --> "Configuració mòbil"? That would fix the line jump.

String length restrictions are a Bad Thing [tm] in Globalized interfaces. Designers should come up with a solution.

In a mobile context short is often better. That said longer title strings should be supported. This fix allows the heading to jump 2 lines if necessary https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/58332/

I agree, it has a horrible translation in Polish. I would even change it to simply "Settings" so that it's consistent with the menu item. It's quite obvious that the settings are mobile-related when you open them on the mobile web site.
