About [[MediaWiki:Visualeditor-languageinspector-block-tooltip/en]]

This appears to be a patchwork message. There should be two messages:

  • Language block: $1
  • Language block: $1: right to left

You're absolutely right, I apologize -- this is the prototype message, and it's planned to be completely revamped. For one, it's likely a good idea to mention the directionality for both right-to-left and left-to-right since each could be the exception in a given page or inside another language block. Also, perhaps it would be best to display the name alongside the code of the language, or a similar combination.

The whole tooltip message will change shortly to accommodate those questions and also a couple of edge cases, like how to point out a language block that only has a direction (without language set up) or vise versa.

Thanks for pointing it out! I'll talk to Amir about finding a more suitable general solution to the way the tooltip behaves.

This is no longer a problem, as the message changed to be static "Language block" and the direction parameter was split to a second message.
