u00A0 only working in en (and not in other languages)

When translating Wikimedia:Commons-android-strings-license name cc by/en you get the following message:

CC Attribution License display name. Use the non-breaking space character(u00A0) between 'CC' and 'Attribution'

The problem is, it only works in English. I have my phone set to Swedish, and when uploading a file, i get the message: Denna bild kommer att licensieras under CCu00A0Erkännandeu00A03.0. I changed my phone's language and noticed that the message only displays correctly in English:

en: This image will be licensed under CC Attribution 3.0
da: Billedet vil blive licenseret under CCu00A0Navngivelseu00A03.0
de: Dieses Bild wird lizenziert unter CCu00A0Attributionu00A03.0
de: Denna bild kommer att licensieras under CCu00A0Erkännandeu00A03.0

It looks as though the '\'-character in the original message doesn't survive the export to translatewiki.
