And what about the translation? If you can confirm to me that "Mitteilungen" is not only perceived as "Messages", that would reassure me :)

@Trizek (WMF): I think "Mitteilungen" is OK. At least better than "Notizen". See https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fragen_zur_Wikipedia/Archiv/2016/Woche_29#.C3.84nderung_bei_Echo:_Was_ist_der_Unterschied_zwischen_.22Meldungen.22_und_.22Notizen.22.3F where "Notizen" is considered bad. See also the discussion on https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fragen_zur_Wikipedia#Icons_f.C3.BCr_Benachrichtigungshinweise where the new icon is criticized.
