You are no longer allowed to contribute to translators directly

Hi. It saddens me to take this action, but I think it is needed. I have removed your translator rights. You are no longer allowed to contribute directly to translations in translatewiki.net. The reason for removing your rights is that given the history, you appear to not be able to collaborate constructively on translations, and that creates an atmosphere that I do not want here. I would advise you to talk to your fellow community members at Portal_talk:Ru if you want to propose further changes. If they agree, I'm sure they will implement your suggestions.

Hi! I checked all the canceled OSM-related contribution of TarzanASG, and back all revisions, which I consider valid or relevant OSM community consensus (contrary, it Express2000 & Zverik made a lot of voluntaristic changes). Only a small part of his edits seemed questionable. This is quite reasonable and longtime wikimedian, and it is wrong to disable it such a dramatic way. Please return him translator rights, after he promised to be careful and do not wage edit wars or debate in the texts of edit summary. --Kaganer (talk) 20:35, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

If somebody contacts me, I always start a discussion and I tell my own arguments. If somebody edits wrong, I contact with him like with user Express2000. There are no serious edit wars, mostly they were further improvement and only small number of they is disputable. But I'll be careful in the future and maybe it's better to discuss on Portal_talk:Ru with all Russian translators in non-evident cases.

I will consider restoring your translator rights. Mainly because Paul made a case on your behalf. There is however the matter of invoking Godwin's law in an e-mail you sent me. As said there: That is when I stop engaging. Let me be VERY clear: If in the future, for whatever reason, you invoke Godwin's law again, you will be permanently and irrevocably blocked on this wiki. Understood?

I don't understand why Godwin's law is so critical? This "law" is just a joke. And I was seriously and really angry in connection with SUCH misinformation about me.

TarzanASG (talk)13:30, 19 March 2012

Perhaps the fault is unfortunate misprint (e.g. "suck" instead "such")... Please forward me any email you sent to the Siebrand.

Hi Paul. Thank you for your input and your review. I value it a lot. I will consider restoring TarzanASG's translator rights. One little issue open, though. I'll reply about that in this thread, too.

TarzanASG known to me as sometimes emotional, but a polite man, not prone to insults against anyone. Perhaps the fault is unfortunate misprint (e.g. "suck" instead "such")... Please forward me this "bad" email you received from the TarzanASG.

Kaganer (talk)13:56, 19 March 2012

Comparing my action to those of a German World War II propaganda minister isn't an unfortunate misprint. It's an invocation of Godwin's law. Given the above reply "I don't understand why Godwin's law is so critical? This "law" is just a joke. And I was seriously and really angry in connection with SUCH misinformation about me.", he doesn't understand it's wrong to make these comparisons in our conversation. I will NOT restore translator rights, and I will no longer engage with the user known as TarzanASG. I don't like his ethics, and I do not wish to expose any other users to it.

Siebrand15:14, 19 March 2012

No, it was in any case not about you (I even don't have any reasons to do that). It was about somebody who tells about me incorrect information. I'm so sorry that we didn't understand each other.

TarzanASG (talk)15:23, 19 March 2012

You're really not making it better. I'll quote your text from the e-mail you sent me: "Absolute Joseph Goebbels-style slander!" The context is irrelevant. I'm not sorry. You're so far out of line, you're invisible. Please go away.
