Hausa in the United States

"Languages of" includes languages that have an officially recognized status of minority language.

Even English Wikipedia agrees (and there are sources on it).

Hausa is an important Lingua Franca in Africa, and this has spread in US too.

Note that this does not mean a national/federal recognition, but several states have made such recognition (and please don't forget that US has no "de jure" official language, English is just used de facto, like also now Spanish, and French historically.
