[[MediaWiki:Echo-notification-notice-text-only/ca]]

Hello

I'm checking that message, because some translations have translated "Notices" by "Messages", "Announcements" or "Posts".

I've used a translation engine to see if they were no other inaccurate translations and the translation in your language seems not to be accurate. I may be wrong if the tool I've used is wrong. Can you check it?

Thanks!

Thanks for checking. English "notices" is quite ambigous for translations, apart from a French faux-amis. It does not fit with any of the definitions on wiktionary:en:notice. If I am not wrong, I interpret it as "something to be noticed", hard to translate unambigously and different from a general notification.

Thanks for your reply.

We know it can be ambiguous. The idea behind "notice" is "something you have to know about, but with less importance than what is under 'alerts' notifications".

I just wanted you to confirm the translation, and if there is no misunderstanding with "message" or something like that, which was the previous case.

Ok, I think current translation is fine.
