Emptying translations

Hi!

You have deleted the text of some translations. Why did you do it? This shouldn't be done usually. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 18:42, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Because I see them as weak ones… Besnik b (talk) 19:21, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the quick reply. If these are bad translations, deleting their text and making them blank, as you have done, is not the right solution. It causes other problems.
The best solution is to correct the weak translations.
If you think that it's too time-consuming to delete them and that it's better if the users see them in English than in this weak state, please ask an administrator to delete them at the Support page. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 19:27, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
I’m not aware of any problems introduced from deleting a bad translation. Generally, one think of them as empty translations.
My understanding is that translators are in charge of editing.
In any case, I’d be happy to remedy for any such occurrence, if you can point me to them.

This creates technical problems when importing the translations from translatewiki to the source code repository, so it must not be done. Empty translations are practically always invalid.
You are one of the translators, so you are in charge of editing :)
These particular problems were already fixed, but please don't do this again. Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 20:03, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
