Welcome to Betawiki!

Hi Manop. Welcome to Betawiki! Please create a user page on which you describe which language(s) you will be working on. If you are going to be an active user here, please also add your name to the languages you will be working on. Before you can use Special:Translate, and Special:Magic, please request translator rights. If you have a wiki where a lot of translations have already been made, you can make an import request. Other useful pages are linked in the translatewiki.net menu that comes with this message.

Once you have started translating, your work will be committed to the standard product every few days. If you want to explicitely request your work to be added, please make a request for commit.

I wish you a productive and pleasant stay. Cheers! Siebrand 23:33, 16 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thai projects

  • Dear Manop! Thanks for the answer about issues related to the names of the namespaces and the names to be used for "{{SITENAME}}"'s in the existing Thai projects. As far as I have seen the sooner a community agrees on these the better it is and less pages need to be moved, less links will be outdated when the change is performed and less links need correction. This relates not only to the links inside the group of projects maintained by that language community but also from "outsite" , from projects in other languages who might not be aware of that change.
  • I wonder what rendering should be used when the Thai interface is selected at a wiki in another language. This is a common problem as the WMF projects are using many scripts and directionality might different between content language and user interface too. The MediaWiki messages from w:th:special:Allmessages are imported now and many messages which need modification according to the description in the localisation guidelines are marked with "**". I hope we are able to chat on IRC or ICQ or via skype. Best regards G - ג · T · w:en: Th · T 8. kesäkuuta 2006 kello 13.33 (EEST)

Reverts of skin names translation

Hi, I reverted your reversions of skin names back to English, so that they are in Thai again. Please explain your changes, because you may have had a really good reason for making them. Cheers! Siebrand 21:52, 7 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
