About [[MediaWiki:Commentbox-regex/en]]

I'm wondering why this is needed at all. Can't the regex simply be generated by the software if the message in Mediawiki:commentbox-first-comment-heading/en doesn't contain the equal signs (Meaning the software adds them itself instead of from the message)?

Best report this in bugzilla:. At first glance, it points at severe i18n issues.

I don't see it listed there in Mediawiki extensions. :(
