What is the usecase of this message? Is that an advice to the user, or is it a call to action like a button label?
Hi. Although I encountered very useful the new "→ Continue editing" link, the text shown by this feature is not always completely self explanatory for those users who have activated the "Show preview on first edit" check box in their options, because the link appears in the very first edit page, when no edition was made at all. The situation is even worst for those who have the "Show preview before edit box" feature active in addition, since a nonsensical "Continue editing" legend appears at the top of the -yet not edited- page.
I remark that the fault is not really the link presence itself, since this feature is useful even in the cited circumstances, but only the text shown.
So, I suggest the text of MediaWiki:Continue-editing/en (and also the name of mediawiki message itself, if possible) should be changed to "Go to editing area" or something so. Thus, the feature will be correctly understood in all cases.
That <i>must</i> should be <em>must</em>. Btw, may I do these sort of edits myself, without discussion?
Thanks. Fixed. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/6558
In Version-entrypoints ("Entry point URLs") I do not understand very well what an 'entry point' is, despite reading the wikipedia article on this and Special:Version where it is used. Can anybody explain this to a computer layman?
MediaWiki:Articlefeedbackv5-log-hidden/en what refers $2 to?
In the message 'hid $1 on $2' $2 may be either something like Sitename or like date. According to this translation will be different in some languages. Does anyone know what is $2 inthis message
Hi, I just wanted to change a message, but was unable to find the extension via the translation tool. Was it deactivated somehow? Cheers
I am not absolutely sure, but I think that there is an namespace variable around which may be used instead of User:
Thanks! Reported in bugzilla:35972.
Thanks for the report. Fixed in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#change,4393. Not updated here, yet.
This message always stays untranslated/fuzzied unless the <br> tag is changed into <br />.
Thanks for the report. Fix pending. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/4392
In the text of this message the expression submit button is used. For me this expression is to general. It refers to the function of the button, not to the text of the button. There are some messages which have the word submit in their name. Which of them this expression submit button is referring to?
Thanks.
Looks like the message is unused. I submitted a patch to remove it. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#change,4389
What are possible values for parameter $1? Thanks!
