Hi there,

I became involved here in May 2008 to help localize the Afrikaans Wikipedia. However, after a funny incident with an administrator, I've decided to rather move on. I nevertheless still use the Mediawiki software on my personal sites and therefore am still involved with the Afrikaans localization.

Since the beginning of 2009 I've taken on the role of core developer on the FUDforum project and immediately started to lobby for it to be localized here. After addressing the initial hurdles (active development, UTF-8 support, etc.) FUDforum's messages were uploaded to TranslateWiki on August 17, 2009.
