You need to provide the following information:
- Language code - lrc
- The language name in English - Northern Luri - agrees to name on Babel box on lrc portal
- The language name in northern luri and in arabic script - see below
- Is the language RTL or LTR - Arabic script so right to left
- If the language is commonly written in more than one script - Arabic only noted on portal
- fallback language -
Arabic?bqi - see below - translators - Mogoeilor has signed up as translator on portal
I have filled in the information that you have put on the portal. Please check it is correct, and complete the missing bits marked by ??????. When all the information is given, a member of staff here can enable the language for translation.
Hello Lloffiwr
I do these thigs in lrc portal?
and they should be show in lrc portal I edite lrc portal and add them
please check lrc portal and could you corret them!!!
luri lrc is commonly written in arabic an no other script
so thanks
Please answer the following questions here on support, not on the lrc portal:
- Please type the language name in your language, in arabic script here -
- Please note a fallback language - you should choose a language written in arabic script, which the most Northern Luri users will understand. Arabic and Persian have similar and good levels of completion of message localisation. You can only choose 1 fallback language.
I recommend that you discuss both of these questions on the Luri incubator to get as much agreement as possible amongst the Northern Luri users. Once these items have been set it is not a quick job to change them.
Hello
so thanks Lloffiwr
bqi or bakhtiari same as lrc is branch of luri language.luri language has 4 branch northern luri or lrc, bqi or bakhtiari, southwestern luri or luz and kumezari or zum, they are branchs of luri language please see
http://www.ethnologue.com/subgroups/luri.
bqi and persin or farsi writes in arabic script and both of them are understandable for lrc speakers if it possible to choose bqi we preffer choose bqi for fallback language.
and luri lrc name writes لوری in luri lrc!!!!
I have another question how can I add a لوری in top of lrc portal in section of lrc language name beside lrc same as this lrc: لوریlrc (lrc)
so thanks for your helps and your tips.
Great - I think you have provided enough information. I'm not sure who is available to enable the language, so it's a matter of waiting until a developer is available to get it done. The language name will automatically appear at the top of the portal when it has been enabled, or maybe when it starts to get exported to Mediawiki - I'm not sure about that. The language doesn't appear on Mediawiki until you have translated all the most used messages in MediaWiki core, so that will be the best message group to start on when the language is enabled.
I think I've seen 10 or 20 repeat topics, and I have no idea anymore where to find the data for the language addition request. Maybe someone can point me to a single conversation that we are taking care of this in? Much appreciated.
Also an urgent request: Adding 10 or 20 topics on the same subject does not expedite processing of your request. I repeat: Adding 10 or 20 topics on the same subject does not expedite processing of your request.
Siebrand, this thread is supposed to contain all the relevant information, specifically Thread:Project:Translator/ your-iso-code-here your-iso-code-here – your-iso-code-here (258)/reply (6) from what Lloffiwr said. (I closed the previous one when he judged this better, and deleted all the duplicates when they were posted.)
