This message could use GENDER.

There are no parameters we know gender for, so adding gender support doesn't make sense. $1 is a non-existing username, $2 is a course without gender information.

Ah, you are right. How should the system know if a non-existent user is feminin or maskulin? O_o Here a very different approach is needed.

This is one of these cases where GENDER would have to be used as:

{{GENDER:$1|not existig|not existing|unknown}}

which should not be too hard :-)
