Gothic Wikipedia

Gothic Wikipedia would likely not exists if it had to fulfill the same requirements as other new Wikipedias. On the other hand having Gothic Wikisource makes sense.

Our primary mission is to support people using open source software in their mother language. It is probably the reason why Gothic is not exported together with the other languages.

Gothic Wikisource would really make sense, since there are a lot of fragments. I totally agree that at first you should care about living languages. But that doesn't imply not to care at all about other things. But Gothic will get more popular in some time I guess. There are more things about it getting on in the internet, new associations that are founding and more people that are interested in learning it. One reason why there is so little going on in the gothic wikipedia is that most parts are still in English and it is more like a construction site. But now I am an admin there and I want to make a lot of changes there for a better handling and better outlook, so that more people are coming. As I already said, sure living languages have a priority, but we wouldn't take any ressources or so of living languages' wikipedias if we get the translation function back. And as it still is an official wikipedia it still has the chance to prove itself.
